What We Left Behind in Arc Raiders: Quick Guide & Tips

What We Left Behind in Arc Raiders – How to Get It Done Without Losing Your Mind

You are familiar with that mood when you get a quest, and you are jumping like a pinball between maps? And that is what happens with the quest called What We Left Behind in Arc Raiders. The no-nonsense gun lady back in Speranza, Tiwen, wants you to find some scraps her raider pals dropped all over the world. It is easy to say on paper, yet the first time you boot in, you have the map in front of you, and you are looking at the map, wondering where on earth these locations are.

To be very honest, this one surprised me as well. I had to spend two or so attempts, going round the wrong buildings, before I could find the exact routes. However, when you know how to do it, it is one of those missions that you can complete in an afternoon. And the best part? You do not even need to squeeze anything out. Simply swipe the three buttons, find what you want, and go home. Free loadout suggested when you are still going about your stash.

I can take you through it step by step, as well as some bits of real-life advice that I would have been glad to get when I was starting out.

Why Does This Quest Even Matter?

We should start with the background: Tian Wen is about keeping her shop stocked, and this is her version of saying, “Hey, go clean up after my old crew”. It is a chain in her reputation, and thus, completion opens up to more attachment vendors in the future. In addition to that, the rewards are good early-game upgrades that truly modify the feel of your guns.

If you’re new to the Arc Raiders game, think of this as a low‑pressure tour of the three main maps. You will get to know layouts, train on movement, and perhaps grab some bonus loot. Only, please do not treat it like a speedrun on the first day: the other raiders (and those cunning ARC bots) do not give a thought about the fact that you are on a quest.

How to Beat What We Left Behind in Arc Raiders?

Buried City Drop into the Raider Camp under the Parking Garage

The first one is Buried City, and the location is Parking Garage in the middle-ish of the map, near the Hospital and the Marano Park. Get your bearings, Spawn, and go west-north. You will notice the huge multi-level building – impossible to miss as soon as you enter the premises.

Find the door with the number 01 on the first floor. Break in (you never know who is camping – first scout fast) and jump in and ride the zipline all the way down. You fall at the bottom right into a small Raider Camp. Containers abound. One simply has to search two of them, and the objective is crossed off. Easy, right?

When you are down there, however, get one more minute. The treasure in this subterranean place is occasionally good – blueprints and even the purple-grade weapon crates appear. One of my friends yanked a nice piece of stock on his second visit here.

Pro move: once you are done searching, exit the window in front of you, and slide two quick rights, then jump into the metro station and get a clean extract. Spares you the trouble of running back up and getting a third-party.

Dam Battlegrounds South Swamp Outpost

Then load into Dam Battlegrounds. Drive west towards the woods on the left of the large Water Treatment Control building. The South Swamp Outpost is hidden amongst the trees- this location is ideal as it is scanner cover, however, it is also a place where players occasionally rat.

The central tower resembles a low silo. Move through any of the openings (no breaching required here). There is a small table or a pile of papers directly beside one corner of a red cabinet in an otherwise large, round room. Touch it and bang–goal achieved.

This is nearly too cold a one compared to the others. Most of the matches are low in traffic, and that is why I tend to reserve it when I am in need of patience. Still, keep your ears open. I was once jumped by a couple as I needed to press the interact button because I became too relaxed. Lesson learned.

What We Left Behind in Arc Raiders

Bilguun Hideout of Spaceport Next to Container Storage

The final, and the most difficult, at least to most people. Container Storage area, Spaceport map. The Hideout of Bilguun is just a metal container mounted on a large concrete wall by the side of the storage yard.

You will see a yellow ladder up there. Climb up, enter, and take the notes on the left-hand side. That’s it. It is all right before their eyes, that is the reason why so many people pass by it during the initial few passes.

Experienced tip: when the route directly over the spot is hot, it can be bypassed by going around the hole in the wall rather than over it. Less exposure to snipers, who prefer to camp around the extraction point.

After visiting all three places, go back to Speranza, visit Tian Wen, and get your prizes. Feels good every single time.

How to Prepare so You Don’t Waste Runs?

New players in particular: this quest can be an excellent teacher, but do not get tilted and give up in the middle. Here’s what actually helps:

  • Re-run the free loadout. When the loot value is low, you would not risk getting your precious equipment.
  • Know the spawn points of every map, so you do not run blindly all over the entire area.
  • Carry a good close weapon and a medium one; you can never tell when a fight breaks out around these camps.
  • Play at off-peak times where possible. The decreased number of sweats implies the smoothness of the runs.
  • Call your team when you are partnering up – it is so time-saving to say to each other, garage door or yellow ladder.

And by the way, doing one map per game is not bad when you are in the learning stage. No shame in that.

Common Mistakes I Still Make:

Up to the dozen completions that I have done, I still turn up these mistakes:

  • Overlooking the violation of the right door in Buried City and zip-lining the wrong shaft.
  • Searching random containers in the swamp rather than the papers on the table.
  • Climbing the Spaceport wall in the middle of a firefight–just don’t.
  • Premature extraction before the objective has been confirmed (the game lags the update at times).
  • Arriving with complete sets and dropping them to some unknown third party as you stand gazing at a ladder.

Sound familiar? You’re not the only one.

Rewards and Unnecessary Things to Watch

Buried City underground camp usually contains some additional containers with crafting materials and the blueprint every now and then.

South Swamp Outpost building occasionally has an ammo crate and medical supplies, which are spawned outside.

It may be a trinket or random attachments on Bilguun Hideout container.

In addition to the reward of the quest, I have received a sufficient amount of scrap that can be used to upgrade the weapons two times. Nothing bad about a mere scavenger run.

Rewards that Actually Make Your Guns Better

Attachment Best Guns to Slap It On Why It Helps
Muzzle Brake II Renegade, Bettina, Kettle Cuts recoil so you stay on target longer
Vertical Grip II IL Toro, Vulcano, Arpeggio, Hullcracker Makes hip-fire feel way more stable
Stable Stock II Stitcher, Osprey, Rattler, IL Toro Better control during sustained fire

These three items allowed me to have an early-game loadout that was reliable rather than a spray and pray disaster. Worth the effort.

What We Left Behind in Arc Raiders on Buried City – Extra Details New Players Miss

The Raider Camp is not just a check box, but a small hub in the underground. Shut the doors behind you when you go down to keep off the people who are chasing you. I have seen entire teams lose due to the inability to locate the zipline path within the required time.

There are cars parked on top that are fast side loot in case the underground is too hot. Remain on course with the primary goal.

What We Left Behind in Arc Raiders Rewards – Why They Matter Long Term

Attachments can be subtle, yet they combine with subsequent upgrades of guns. At greater levels of reputation with Tianwen, a recoil benefit may be life-saving in a stressful raid. Small details matter.

If you’re still figuring out the extraction loop, “What We Left Behind” is perfect practice. Visit each of the biggest maps, practice maneuvers, and get to know how to read player movement without carrying rare items.

You can start by viewing some map overviews on your second monitor, in case you need to. Nothing wrong with that. Then simply drop in, creep along, and leave. The more you practice it, the more you will notice patterns- where people hot-drop and what extracts are safest at a particular time.

Another detail: ARC enemies (those strange robots) roam certain areas, rather than others. They are less prevalent in the swamp than they are around the Parking Garage, scanning overhead. Keep moving.

The game is on the hunt for digging through what civilization left behind when everything went awry, and this quest centers right into it. The bits of stories that Tian Wen tells you when you give her the scraps are a nice touch. You get the feeling that you are literally rebuilding something.

I have already achieved the goal and just sat in the camp, hearing the atmosphere. Street-wind, street-gunfire,–it strikes otherwise.

Tips for New Players of Arc Raiders

  • Find a friend who is already familiar with the maps.
  • Divide the goals and play two or three games if you lack time.
  • Or go alone and make it a stealth game – you will be amazed how much you can go by crouch-walking and listening alone.
  • If you are a numbers person, keep records of your average time per map. My time went down to approximately 9 when I ceased to investigate every side room, which was 18 minutes.

All Three Locations at A Glance

Map Exact Spot What to Interact With Extra Tip
Buried City Parking Garage (middle-north) Any 2 containers in camp Zipline down, close doors behind you
Dam Battlegrounds South Swamp Outpost (west forest) Papers on the table by the red cabinet Super quiet area, still check corners
Spaceport Bilguun’s Hideout by Container Storage Notes inside the upper container Yellow ladder – climb fast

Print this in your head, and you’re golden.

When to Tackle Each Part?

Situation Best Map to Hit First Reason
Low on time Dam Battlegrounds Quickest objective, low player traffic
Want good side loot Buried City Underground camp has the best random drops
Practicing vertical movement Spaceport Ladder climb teaches quick positioning

Little things like this helped me plan my sessions better.

Should You Beat It?

What We Left Behind in Arc Raiders might feel like a chore at first, but it quickly turns into one of those satisfying checklist quests that actually teach you the game. After knocking it out, you will have three maps on ice and some useful extra in your inventory pocket.

Then the next time you load up, go by Tian Wen and get the job and have a look at what the old crew left. You have this – and the plunder on those ziplines and ladders is worth the journey. Happy raiding!
